From: Kelly, the City Different
I may have missed the boat entirely on the vote, since I have just stumbled upon this GREAT web site... Here are my choices: Helena Bonham Carter and Joseph Fiennes. (No, not Ralph.) Ms Carter should bulk-up, though. She has been a favorite actoress of mine for about ten years, but she has always been so waify (sp?). Tan and lean is Sabine, in my mind's eye. Mr. Shakespeare-In-Love is dark and mysterious, brooding and sensual. These two are a good match to the characters and to each other. As for directors, I would approach Sally, oh dear I cannot remember her name... The director of 'Orlando' - a very good space-and-time-defying film. Also, consider the director of 'Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead'. Either one of these directors would be capable of keeping the fantasty/space-and-time-bending quality of the story... Another idea - how about a tan Minnie Driver? I know there is someone who is perfect, just can't put my finger on it.
