Inverse mountain theory

From: Erika, NE U.S.

Mr. Bantock-Just giggled through reading my newly arrived copy of Averse to Beasts. In the intro you refer to writing it as a result of the "inverse mountain thoery". Reminded me of a character's line in Tom Robbins' novel Another Roadside Attraction, "The purpose of art is to provide what life does not." Seems all of your novels serve that purpose. I especially liked The Museum at Purgatory. Even without the artwork, there's so much to chew on there. I keep wondering how long it took to write that book, it doesn't seem to have been undertaken lightly. And then there's the illustrations!!!
