Tenacity--sheer bloody doggedness was certainly a big chunk of learning my craft. Also I had some good teachers when I first started at art college, taught me that when you're an apprentice learning to see was far more imporant than the look of the drawing. In some ways though I'd say it was begining to understand how to balance non-symetrically. One side of the image finding a response to what's happening on the other side of the page. It's hard to say which material dominates, because I work so much in collage these days, everythink but the kitchen sink goes in. Glad to hear you've been feeling better. N
