Personal mythology--yes. But I also find that universal mythology seems to come along and reinforce the personal. I know of no direct connection between The Comedia and Alchemy, however I've often mused that it would have been the perfect place to bury the golden art. It feels like it's in there. As for Mr.P's last stand. I was thinking about curiosity and a passion for the universe (In the Hindu bliss sense) and I imagined Mr. P in his serious-mocking manner expressing his desire for oneness with his walking stick. Which in turn made me think of the end of Kurt Vonegut's Cat's Cradle. And on and on... N
