I was fortunate enough to see Amelie recently. I am an admirer of Juenet's films; particularly those on which he collaborated with Mark Caro. I recall seeing the use of postcards, secret notes and assemblages of discarded photographs and being reminded of Nick Bantock's work myself. I think, however, that Juenet was influenced more by Caro than by Nick. I also suspect that both of them have been mutually influenced by Joseph Cornell, and possibly Harnett in their development assemblages of artifacts as art.
Juenet and Caro would be welcome collaborators on a Griffin & Sabine film. I think that the director for the film has already been confirmed though.
