I like Leigh Edwards and L. Editions is an efficent set-up. Yes, till now, her stuff has been teddybearesque, but she convinced me that that's not her long term goal. I could have gone with one of the art stamp makers but preaching to (and through) the converted isn't always the best root. It was the same with Capolan. I could have made it a semi-serious book, but I decided to make it a giftworks box because I thought it had a better chance of reaching a different audience. It's all swings and roundabouts of course. But sometimes you take a gamble to see what happens.
