For some reason I am always attracted to the images of women such as Sabine in Griffin's Florentine dream, or Sabine's revelry on Maiden's Castle. What they all seem to have in common for me is this dream-like technique of creating light out of the dark. They are atmospheric and sensual at the same time. There are also two collages from the 'Venetian's Wife' with East Indian Goddesses that evoke the same rich sensations.
